How Kybella® Works
Kybella® is a substance that is injected in precise locations under the chin. It makes use of a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid that targets and destroys fat cells in the area. During the consultation, you will meet with our nurse practitioner and together will develop the treatment plan that is tailored and right for you. The initial treatment will take about 45 minutes. In certain circumstances multiple treatments are needed to provide you with the desired look.
After the fat cells have been destroyed, they will no longer be able to store or accumulate fat, so the results from Kybella® are permanent. It is currently only approved for use in the chin area, though it may find additional applications in the future.
