These two leading body contouring treatments are popular in the medical spas and are often mistakenly used interchangeably. Each treatment has its own list of benefits and is completed with different methods. We at Advanced Electrolysis & MedSpa want our clients to understand the difference between CoolSculpting and Body Contouring and what the treatments can do for their bodies.
Body Contouring
Body sculpting or contouring has become very popular among people who are looking to lose fat or tighten loose skin. Individuals choose this option when diet and exercise have not been sufficient in losing little pockets of fat or excess cellulite.
Areas For Body Contouring
There are multiple areas of the body that can be treated with both nonsurgical methods. The most commonly seen are those who have recently been pregnant, conducted a significant weight loss journey, or those with certain medical conditions. These treatments can target areas such as:
- Stomach or abdomen
- Love handles and flanks

- Bra line or back fat
- Knees (above and inside)

CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is used to rid the body of unwanted fat cells, by subjecting them to extremely cold temperatures that help to break them down called cryolipolysis. The practitioner places a large applicator on desired area to be treated which then vacuums that area into the applicator that then cools down the fat. Procedure takes about 40-60 minutes. After the treatment, it may take up to 6 months to see full results. On average, patients report a decrease of 20% in the unwanted fat in the treated area.
CoolSculpting has additional treatments available to treat muscle toning. However, at this time it is not able to be treated at the same time. In addition, skin tightening is available with certain CoolSculpting platforms.
EvolveX Transform by InMode
The EvolveX Transform utilizes bi-polar radiofrequency (RF) and electromagnetic energy to achieve controlled fat reduction, skin tightening, tissue remodeling, and muscle toning. The combination works by tightening the underlying skin structure and boosting collagen and elastin production. This process destroys fat cells and encourages smoother, youthful curves. Gel is applied to the small applicators and then onto belts placed around the desired area. Smaller applicators gives the practitioner the ability to safely treat large and small areas. Depending upon your customized treatment (tightening skin, destroying fat, and/or toning muscle), the treatment can last 45 -75 min. On average, patients report a decrease of 35% in unwanted fat in the treated area.

How Long Until I See Results?
Because the cells need time to break down, after our EvolveX treatment, it will take some time before you notice results. It takes several weeks for your excretory system to dispose of all the destroyed fat cells. While the procedure often can be completed on your lunch break, noticeable results won’t show for a few days or weeks.
We can provide weekly treatments over a couple of months to help you see the best results. You will start to see a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles in just one or two sessions with us.
